The Klaestron Civil War was a conflict that took place among the Klaestron people in the mid-24th century. A rebel faction attempted to seize control of the planet Klaestron IV but was eventually defeated by the army and many civilians.
General Ardelon Tandro was an important leader for the government forces during the conflict; he was murdered by the rebels in 2339 and became a martyr, inspiring his supporters to win the war. Federation ambassador Curzon Dax was assigned to mediate in the conflict.
In 2369, Jadzia Dax was tried on suspicion of being the person who betrayed the general, but was relieved from the charges. In fact, General Tandro himself had tried to betray his own forces which didn't stop the rebels from capturing and executing him. (DS9: "Dax")
