Paula M. Block (born 14 February 1952; age 72) is a Star Trek author and editor, primarily known for working in Paramount Pictures' consumer licensing division and, from 2006, CBS Consumer Products.

Block oversaw licensed Star Trek publishing from 1989 until 2009, ending up as Senior Director of Licensing. Her role involved working closely with the editors at Pocket Books and other publishers to review manuscripts, vet proposals, and provide feedback on behalf of the studio. As a result, Block is frequently acknowledged for her work in Star Trek novels and comics. Block also developed the Star Trek Consumer Products photo library, a reference library of images for use by manufacturers as a basis for their products. [1]

Block also worked as co-editor of Pocket's Strange New Worlds anthology series – a collection of fan-submitted short stories.

She and husband Terry J. Erdmann co-wrote the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Companion, The Secrets of Star Trek: Insurrection, the introduction of the DS9 anthology Prophecy and Change, and six reference books: Star Trek 101, Star Trek: The Original Series 365, Star Trek: The Next Generation 365, Star Trek - The Original Topps Trading Card Series, Star Trek: Costumes: Five Decades of Fashion from the Final Frontier, and The Art of Star Trek: Discovery.

Following Block's departure from CBS, she and Erdmann have also authored a number of eBooks in the Pocket DS9 series: Lust's Latinum Lost (and Found), Rules of Accusation, and I, The Constable.
