The Klingons are known as passionate opera-lovers. However very little is known about their highly-evolved form of musical expression here on Earth. Floris Schönfeld has managed to lay his hands on some fragments of a masterpiece of the batlh jachlut or Honorable Battle opera. Its title is "u", which can be translated as "universe" or "universal". It will be the basis for the opera "u", the first complete, authentic Klingon opera here on Earth. [3]

Lloyd as Commander Kruge

Christopher Lloyd (born 22 October 1938; age 71) played the role of Klingon Commander Kruge in the 1984 film Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He is perhaps best recognized for his roles on the television series Taxi and the successful Back to the Future films.

Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Lloyd attended the prestigious Fessenden School in Massachusetts and later Staples High School in Connecticut, graduating from the latter in 1957. Since embarking on a career in acting, he has appeared in over a hundred film and television projects as well as over 200 stage productions, and has become a highly recognized figure in show business.

Lloyd first rose to fame as Reverend Jim Ignatowski on the ABC (and later NBC) television comedy Taxi. Lloyd won two Emmy Awards for his role as the lovable, burnt-out Ignatowski, one in 1982 and another in 1983. Coincidentally (as revealed in the episode "Jim Joins the Network"), Lloyd's character was a huge fan of Star Trek who resented NBC's decision to cancel the show. However, one of the character's qualms about the series was the male Romulan commander (in TOS: "Balance of Terror"), whom he believed "did things no Romulan would ever do."

Two legendary captains meet. (DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations")

Did You Know...

...that in the Voyager episode "The Omega Directive", Seven of Nine incorrectly states the date as Stardate 15781.3, instead of 51781.3?

...that in the Next Generation episode "11001001" it is stated that the USS Enterprise-D has twelve phaser banks and in "Conundrum" that it has ten, but a visual count reveals that it actually has eleven? The twelfth phaser bank is only visible when saucer separation has occurred - it is positioned forward of the battle-bridge.

...that if you were to watch the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation in the stardate order, instead of the release order, Natasha Yar would appear in several episodes after her character had already died.
