R. Ascher was a businessman who worked for the Big Creek Manufacturing and Sales Co. of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania during the late 1950s. His office was on the first floor.

Ascher was played by Paul Hayes. Although his name was not stated in dialogue, it appeared on the "First Floor" office on a sign outside the front door of the building.
