Rif Hutton (born 28 November 1955; age 68) is an actor from San Antonio, Texas, who appeared as a Klingon guard in Star Trek Generations. Like this role, the majority of his credits in both film and television have been in minor, unnamed roles. The two major exceptions are his roles as Doctor John Welch on the series Doogie Howser, M.D. from 1990 through 1993 and as Lieutenant Commander Alan Mattoni on JAG.

On the former series, he co-starred with fellow Star Trek performers James B. Sikking and Lawrence Pressman, who were also regulars on the show. During his time on JAG, Hutton worked alongside the likes of Daphne Ashbrook, Corbin Bernsen, Ray Buktenica, David L. Crowley, Steven Culp, Jack Kehler, Scott Lawrence, Jennifer Savidge, and Star Trek: Enterprise stars Jolene Blalock and Anthony Montgomery.

His film credits prior to Generations include Wanted: Dead or Alive, Moving, Stand and Deliver, Going Under, and The Borrower, while his TV credits include guest spots on The Jeffersons, Remington Steele, Night Court, L.A. Law, Alien Nation, Married... with Children, Full House, Wings, and Murphy Brown. After Generations, he had roles in such films as Children of the Corn III (1995), The Thirteenth Floor (1999), and Stick It and made appearances on Home Improvement, Babylon 5, Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Seinfeld, ER, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Monk and House, among many others.
