A seizure or convulsion was a condition that rendered a person unconscious and caused muscle spasms.

In 2266, a teenage boy suffering from the effects of the life prolongation project had a seizure as the landing party observed him. (TOS: "Miri")

In 2364, Kunivas went into convulsions just prior to his death. (TNG: "Heart of Glory")

Also that year, a worried Jenice Manheim reported to the USS Enterprise-D that her husband Paul was having convulsions. (TNG: "We'll Always Have Paris")
