Meaning of term[]

Yes, it was. It means "marriage or challenge". Kal-if-fee (obviously "challenge") was what T'Pring shouted (or claimed) in "Amok Time" when she didn't want Spock as her mate. --AC84 05:35, 11 June 2005 (Pacific)
Merge with Wedding[]
I propose that we merge this article with wedding. That main article is a bit skimpy and would be well filled with info from the (IMO) redundant pages on wedding customs of various species. - Oppose. This is a page on the Vulcan "marriage or challenge" ritual. While a brief note might be made at the wedding page, this needs its own page; it is nowhere near redundant. It would be like merging Data with Soong-type android or Soong-type android with android. Merging for the sake of adding more info to another page is not an appropriate reason for merging. If you want, you can add a brief note about the Koon-ut-kal-if-fee on the wedding page, but I don't see this going anywhere. I too agree with Shran, and in addition I don't think that the information here would fit in very well with the wedding article, which is basically a listing of occurrences of weddings, but does not describe any specifics of the ceremonies. For that we have a list of ceremonies at the end. If we merged Koon-ut-kal-if-fee, we should really merge all list list items, but that doesn't seem very appealing. So let's not merge the present article for consistency's sake.--Skon 13:37, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
