- Or, there was a batch of three-digit numbers left over from an earlier era, which Starfleet applied (in the 2270's) to its small science vessels. Saucer to Drive section[]
ok so I was watchin th search for spock today. and I was looking at the uss grissom (which is oberth class.) and looking at ths design of the ship it would seem to me that the only way to get from the saucer section to the dive section is by climbing through the nacelle pylons because the drive section and the saucer section do not connect through any other means. I do not know if the pylons are wide enough to have a turbolift inside or if the crew has to hate jefferies tubes/ or stairways down. anyone know how this can be acomplished. othe ships such as the Reliant dont really have a drive section they just have a saucer and 2 nacelles therefore their engineering mus be located within their saucer however on the Oberth class they have a long lower section where apparently their shuttle bays are located. therefore this large section of the ship must be used for something. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 99.19.91.228.
