The USS Liberator (NCC-67016) was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.
The Liberator fought the Borg at the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367. It was destroyed, along with thirty-eight other starships. The shuttlecraft Kotoi was detached from this vessel, and destroyed also. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")
A model of the Liberator was not present in the wreckage of Wolf 359, but one of its shuttlecraft, the Kotoi was, pictured in The Art of Star Trek (p. 102), which was where we get the name and registry number from. The name of the starship was a reference to the 'hero' ship from Blake's 7.
